In addition to Poehler's La Joie, Louis Noir will return as the voice of anger and Phyllis Smith is back as Sadness. Tony Hale joins the cast as Fear, originally voiced by Bill Hader. Disgust is also a returning emotion, but instead of OG star Mindy Kaling, Green's character will be voiced by Lisa Lapira.

Teenage Riley will be voiced by Kensington Tallman while Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan reprise their roles as Riley's mom and dad.

Who are the new emotions?

Hawke's anxiety was the first new emotion announced for Pixar's sequel. She will be joined by newcomers: Ayo Edebiri as Envy, Adèle Exarchopoulos as Ennui aka Boredom and Paul Walter Hauser as an embarrassment.

The rest of the new characters include high school hockey player Valentina "Val" Ortiz (Lilimar), Coach Roberts (Yvette Nicole Brown), and Riley's best friends voiced by Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green and Grace

Like all of Pixar's animated classics, Inside Out 2 is designed to appeal to all ages, but that doesn't stop it from venturing into heavier subject matter. The sequel to the beloved 2015 that followed the escapades of five anthropomorphic emotions in the mind of a preteen girl, Riley, will pick up shortly after the end of the original and introduce new actors and emotions as Riley becomes a adolescent and dealing with puberty. 

Inside Out is considered one of the greatest films ever produced by Pixar/Disney, and it was nominated for two Academy Awards upon its release.

Inside Out 2 will differ from its predecessor by dealing with more advanced hardware. While the big emotional hurdle for Riley in Inside Out was moving to a new town, Inside Out 2 will deal with high school, relationships and anxiety, among other "big kid" issues. Rightly so, this calls into question the sequel's suitability for kids who aren't yet teenagers. If Inside Out 2's box office showings are any indicator, there will be a lot of younger eyes looking at the film.
